Parion Roma Dönemi seramiği

Abstract

Çalışmamızı 2005- 2010 yılları arasında Parion' da bulunan Roma Seramikleri oluşturmaktadır. Bulunan tüm seramikler dijital yöntemlerle çizilmiş ve katalog oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmalar sonucu elde edilen çok sayıda kaynak ile buluntular sınıflandırılmış, tanımlanmış ve tarihlendirilmiştir.Çalışmamızın temelinde, Troas Bölgesinde ve özellikle Parion' da seramik üretim sorunu üzerine cevaplar bulunması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca Parion' da ele geçen ithal seramiklerin yoğunluğu ve onların tarihleri ile bir liman kenti olan Parion' un ticari ilişkileri, bu ilişkilerin hangi kentlerle ve hangi dönemlerde daha yoğun olduğu, kentin Roma Dönemi yapılarında ve nekropolde çıkan seramikler sayesinde, yapıların ve nekropolün tahmini kullanım süreleri ve geçirdiği evrelerin tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda özellikle kentin genelinde görülen tahribat evrelerinin açıklanması diğer bir temel amaçtır. Çalışma sonucunda, Parion da ele geçen bazı seramiklerin bölgesel üretim olduğu anlaşılmış, belirlenen yeni formlar ve kaplar tanımlanıp, Unguentariumlar ve Açık Renkli Geç Roma Seramikleri gibi kaplar için gruplandırmalar yapılmıştır. Kent yapılarının tarihi süreçleri ve kullanım dönemleri tespit edilmiş, kentin ticari ilişkileri ve ticaretin yoğunlaştığı dönemler belirlenmiştir. Kent için önemli olan yapıların tahribi konusunda yeni görüşler ileri sürülmüştür.

Our study consists of Roman ceramics found in Parion between the years 2005 and 2010. All ceramics have been drawn with digital methods, and the catalog has been formed.Lots of sources and finds, which are obtained as a result of studies, have been defined, classified and dated. By this study, it is aimed to find response to production issue of ceramics in Troas region and especially in Parion. And also, imported ceramics found in Parion and commercial relationship between them and coastal town of Parion; in which periods and cities these relationships were dense; identification of estimated usage period and phases of the structures and necropolis thanks to the ceramics found in Roman period structures of the city and necropolis have been also aimed. In this context, it is another aim to explain especially devastation phases which have been seen in the city. As a result of this study, it is understood that some ceramics found in Parion are regional products. And, new forms and pots have been defined and classified as Unguentarium and Light Coloured Late Roman Ceramics. Historical process and usage periods of structures in the city have been identified and commercial relationship of the city, and in which periods trade was dense have been indicated. New opinions about the devastation of structures important for the city have been presented
