dc.description.abstract`THE FRAGMENTATIONAL NARRATION IN THEATRE AND CINEMA, ADVERTISEMENT S'lLMS AND VIDEO CLIPS, AN APLI CATION` -Abstract- In this thesis, the technics of fragment at ional narration in theatre and cinema was studied within the context of their development. Within the same context, also the advertisement films and video clips were men tioned. It can be said that the advertisement films and video clips have been originated from the cinema which have been relying on the theatre in dramatic sense. These medias are converged at the point of `producing a fictional reality`, features of the narration in the medias which were mentioned above were considered in the theoretical base and studied on the samples (which were: Brecht's `Threepenny Opera`, Shakespeare's `A Midsummernight's Dream`, Beckett's `Waiting fo Godot` in theatre chapter; Fellini's `Roma`, Sautet's `Fortunes of Life`, Roeg's `Bad Timing` in cinema chapter; E.Grant's `Gimme Hope Jo' anna`, Megadeth's `Peace Sells`, Moody Blues' es `I Know You're Out There` in advertisement films and video clips chapter). In the last part of the thesis, a screenplay was presented as an application of expression which is about the works and the life of painter Fikret Mualla.
