Evliya Çelebi seyahatnamesinin Türk kütüphaneciliği, hat sanatı ve yazı gereçleri yönünden incelenmesi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The Books of Travel are important in scientific researches as they are the first hand sources. Up to today, the 17 th Century's prominent traveller Evliya Çelebi 's Seyahatname in ten volumes had formed many search matters in subjects like history, geography, music, architecture, folklore, art history, linguistics etc. Seyahatname which was written by Evliya Çelebi who traveled over territories of the empire between 1640-1683 and neighbouring countries is an important source as it embraces a wide geographic area and a considerable time period. Taking this into consideration, it is concluded that examining Seyahatname about library, book, writing equipment and calligraphy subjects is a necessity. After examining the ten volumes of Seyahatname, we had the possibility of finding out the existence of Hayrüddin Camii Library in Istanbul and Mevlevi Tekkesi Library in Erzincan by utilising the given information about libraries and books. We could say that the lists of the writers and the books mentioned in Seyahatname, could be useful for some other researches. 156
