dc.description.abstractThe subject of this study is social, political and economic thoughts of Şevket Süreyya Aydemir. The subject is important in two aspects. The first one is the fact that Aydemir and `Kadro` Movement, which its ideolog is him, firstly strove toward theorizing of Turkish Revolution. The second one is that Aydemir advocated statism systematicly beyond the offical thought an being part in serious discussions made in that time in Turkey where had been applied an economic policy which is defined almost `liberal` till world economic crisis of 1929, and had been seeked for new policies with that crisis. This is a study of political thoughts history, as aimed. The method is not chronological but an analysis which is shaped around certain concepts. Those concepts are `revolution`, `Kadro`, `national rescue movement`, `democracy`, `state` and `statism`. Comprehension of the study is restricted with the `social project` that was suggested for Turkish people by Aydemir in early 1930's. Essentially, it's that social project giving o special place Aydemir in Turkish thought in that time. The study consists of five chapters except `introduction` and `conclusion`. Chapter one is devoted to the economic and political conditions of Turkey in the early of 1930, arising from the fact that one of thedeterminants of thought is historical-social conditions. Chapter two is devoted to the biography of Aydemir and it also includes the line of intellectual progress of Aydemir and deviations/continuities in this line. Chapter three identifies some concepts such as `revolution` and `nationl rescue movement`. Raising from `key concepts` in Aydemir1 s thought, it is discussed that his evaluation about world and functions he attributed to the Turkish revolution. Chapter four includes Aydemir1 s evaluations about political regimes and his `political project`. It is displayed that the basic characters of the original `order of revolution` diffrent from Fascism, Marxism and democracy. Chapter five is devoted to the state conception of Aydemir and the understanding of `Statism` which coincides with this conception. In this chapter, It has been made a conparision among diffrent understandings of statism and it's been examined that the dimension of beyond economy of Aydemir' s Statism. In the chapter of conclusion, having made a general evaluation it is tried to determine Aydemir' s place in Turkish tradition of thought and marks he left that tradition.en_US
