Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla`nın Mihnet-keşan`ı ve tahlili

Abstract

`Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla'nın Mihnet-keşân'ı ve Tahlili` adlı bu doktora tezinin asıl amacı İzzet Molla'nın en orijinal eseri olduğu hemen hemen her kaynakta tekrarlanan, fakat şairin diğer eserleri gibi geniş kapsamlı ve yeterli bir çalışmaya konu olmayan Mihnet-keşân'ın incelenmesidir. Dolayısıyla bugüne kadar özellikle taşıdığı yenilik unsurları bakımından sürekli önemi vurgulanmakla beraber daha ziyade adı etrafındaki tartışmalarla hatırlanan eserin ilk defa bu çalışmayla ait olduğu edebi anlayıştan koparılmadan bir incelemeye ve tahlile konu olduğu söylenebilir. Çalışma Türk edebiyatında Mihnet-keşân türünde yazılmış eserlerin ve eserlerle ilgili araştırmaların kısaca tanıtıldığı bir `Giriş`i takiben, eser üzerine bugüne kadar yapılan inceleme ve değerlendirmelerin kronolojik olarak sunulup eleştirildiği birinci bölümle başlamaktadır. Bir eserin şairinden ayrı ele alınıp incelenemeyeceği düşüncesinden hareketle çalışmanın ikinci bölümü Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla'nın hayatının, eserlerinin ve ana hatlarıyla edebi kişiliğinin ele alınıp değerlendirildiği bölüme ayrılmıştır. Ayrıca İzzet Molla'nın yaşadığı döneme ait ilk defa tarafımdan ele alman çeşitli kaynaklar da bu bölümde kullanılmış; böylece onun hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bugüne kadar bilinenlerin ötesinde yeni bilgiler elde etmek, farklı yorum ve tahminlerde bulunmak mümkün olabilmiştir. Mihnet-keşân'a ayrılan üçüncü bölümde ise önce sırasıyla eserin adı, telifi, şekil özellikleri, düzeni ve konusu üzerinde durulmuştur. Mihnet-keşân'ın tahkiye unsurları, ahenk, dil ve söyleyiş açısından çeşitli alt başlıklar altında ele alınıp tahlil edildiği üslup bahsiyle tamamlanan bu bölümde eserin tamamen ait olduğu gelenek ve anlayış çerçevesinde, bir mesnevi olarak ele alındığını özellikle vurgulamak gerekir. Mihnet-keşân'ın tenkitli metni ise biri matbu on yedi nüshadan ulaşılabilen on altısının incelenmesi ve bu inceleme sonunda çeşitli açılardan önemli görülen üç nüshanın karşılaştırılmasıyla kurulmuştur. Böylelikle eserin tam metni ilk defa divan edebiyatı çalışmalarında kullanılan bilimsel metotlarla hazırlanarak araştırmacıların istifadesine sunulmaktadır. Çalışmanın en sonunda yer alan `Açıklamalı Özel Adlar İndeksi` ise Mihnet- keşân'da geçen şahıs, yer ve eser adlarına ayrılmıştır.

Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla (1786 - 1829) has a distinguished place amongst the last members of the pre-Tanzimat Ottoman poetry. With his two collections of poetry (divan) and two mesnevis, he also is one the most prolific poets of the period. Yet, not an academic study is written on any of his works; neither his life, nor his works had been taken under scrutiny. This PhD dissertation, entitled `Mihnet-keşân of Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla and its Analysis` aims at analysing the poet's famous mesnevi entitled Mihnet- keşân. Written during İzzet Molla' s exile in Keşan, Mihnet-keşân occupies a special place in the works of the poet. Tanpınar and many other scholars of the nineteenth century Turkish literature have agreed upon the fact that the above- mentioned work is one of the most original mesnevis of Turkish poetry. Yet, the comments on this work do not go further than a few clichés. Following an `Introduction` written for the purpose of briefly presenting the similar works in the Turkish literature, this study starts with the presentation and criticism of the previous studies on Mihnet-keşân under the title of `Resources and Studies on the Subject`. The second part of the study, entitled `Keçeci-zade İzzet Molla`, is a general evaluation of the life, works and literary personality of the poet. This part is based on the idea that the work can not be examined in isolation of its writer; beyond the existing information on the life and works of the poet, original information and documents are made use of, and the obscure parts of his life is relatively elucidated. The main subject of this dissertation, Mihnet-keşân, is the subject of the third part. The work is analysed over the sections concerning the name of the work, how it was written, its formal characteristics, its plan and how its parts were formulated, its theme and summary, and its characteristics of style. The last part is the critical text of Mihnet-keşân. The work was printed in 1852. In and outside Turkey, sixteen hand-written copies of the work have been detected, and after obtaining and examining these copies, the critical text of Mihnet-keşân is constructed based on three of them. To the aim of presenting the places the poet had seen and his social environment in a greater detail, a descriptive index of names and places is also added to the end of the critical text.
