dc.description.abstractÖZET Mardin-Mazıdağı fosfat cevherinin desülfurizasyon amacıyla kullanılabilirliği araştırıldı. Bunun için ham, akışkan yatakta kalsine ve sabit yatakta kalsine edilmiş üç örnek, baca gazımn büeşimine benzer bir model gaz karışımı ile akışkan yatak reaktöründe sülfatlama işlemine tabi tutularak SO2 tutma eğilimleri belirlendi. Sülfatlama işlemlerinde sıcaklık, akış hızı, S02 konsantrasyonu ve tane boyutu gibi parametrelerin etkileri incelendi. Dönüşüm oranının kalsinasyon ile arttığı, sinterleşme ile azaldığı tesbit edildi. Cevher içerisindeki flor apatitin reaksiyona girmediği, kalsitin ise %90 civarında reaksiyona girdiği belirlendi. Bu reaksiyona girme oranının, literatürde kalsit ve dolomit için verilen dönüşüm oranlarından önemli ölçüde yüksek olduğu görüldü. Elde edilen sonuçlardan Mardin-Mazıdağı fosfat kayasının ham haliyle bile baca gazı desürftirizasyonu amacıyla kullanıma uygun bir absorben olduğu belirlendi.
dc.description.abstractSUMMARY In this study, the usability of Mardin-Mazıdağı phosphate ore for the desulfurization purposes of flue gas was investigated. For that, three different samples, namely, raw phosphate ore as such, and two calcined phosphate ore samples, one in a fluidized-bed, the other in a fixed-bed, were prepared. Each of these samples was sulfated in a differential fluidized-bed reactor by a simulated flue gas in order to study the extent of S02 removal from such a gas mixture. In the sulfating process, the effects of bed temperature, linear velocity of flue gas, concentration of S02 and solid particule size were investigated. It was observed that the conversion to sulfated products was increased with increasing degree of calcination, but decreased with increasing sintering. It was farther found that, under the conditions studied here, the flour apathite in the ore was not undergoing any reactions, but the calcit conversion was up to 90 %. This conversion ratio is much higher than those reported in the literature for calcit and dolomite. From the results of this study it was inferred that Mazıdağı phosphate ore, even in unprocessed (raw) form, can be used as a suitable absorbent for the desulfurization of flue gases in industry.en_US
