dc.description.abstract79 S U H M A R Y This study was carried out with the view of identifying what the training meant for those nevly beginning to volleyball (volleyball beginners), what were exercise phases in training, and where reached as a result of the relevant exercises. The study was canducted on 12 female stundents and 12 male students, Who had never played volleyball beforehand. First, the training was theorically ma de know to the students, then exercise phases were explained» Later, they were subjected to a four-month training, starting out from zero-condition levels »As a result of 100 mts. tests performed on the students as of the beginning and end of fourth month of the study, 8 female and 5 male students became un suc cessful in the first phase, where as all the students became successful at the end of the fourth month» When taken into consideration pre and postwarning valves in the jumping test over health-ball, a suc cess between 7-17 in male, 7-18 in female students were obtained in faveur of post-war n i ng values»80 It was identified that the values in jumping test from the stance in front of wall varied between 18- 37 cm j, while the values were between 32-56 cm in ma le students for whom height advantage was more re markable. In the spcediness test performed on volleyball ground, the importance of heating has been revealed, and adaptation to the play has been quicker follo wing the heating» More achievement vas realized in spite of less effort» In the tests carried out in connection with basic techniques» according to the results revealed at the end of the third phase realised as of first phase and the end of fourth month. the success in male stu dents became at a rate between 54.3 and X71.0, the total success was identified to be at a rate of AtEijd » y n As for f amele students, the success varied ran ging from %61.0 to y.83.3, while total success beca me °/»69»4» The average overall total success in all the students was found to be %66»15.
