Dağıtım sözleşmeleri rekabet hukuku açısından değerlendirilip elektronik ticaret, elektronik pazar yeri ve elektronik yaptırım incelenmiştir. Dağıtım sözleşmesinin elektronik ticaretten etkilenen üç özelliği ön plana çıkmaktadır: Tekel bölgesi, know-how transferi ve kaliteye ilişkin seçim kriterleri. Bu özellikler nazara alınarak sağlayıcının dağıtım ağını düzenleme özgürlüğü açıklanmıştır.
