In this study; the isolation of bacteria which have potential of ore enrichment was carried out by taking samples from three magnesite quarries which are located in Erzurum-Askale borderlines. The obtained isolates were identified and characterized according to the conventional (morphological, physiological and biochemical tests) and molecular techniques (fatty acid methyl ester profiles (FAME), BOX PCR and 16S rRNA). As a result of sequence analysis, it was determined that 2 of these bacteria isolates were Staphylococcus epidermidis, 2 of them were Bacillus sp., 2 of them were Exiguobacterium sibiricum, 4 of them were Exiguobacterium aurantiacum and the others were Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Shewanella baltica ve Klebsiella oxytoca, respectively.en_US
