Fide yaşının tatlı mısır (Zea mays L. var. Saccharata)`da verim ve gelişme üzerine etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, fide yaşının tatlı mısır (Zea mays L. var. saccharata cvs. 'Merit F1, Sunshine F1, Martha F1 ve Vega F1') çeşitlerinde verim ve gelişme özellikleri üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla Atatürk Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Bahçe Bitkileri Bölümünde 2011 ve 2012 yıllarında yürütülmüştür.Araştırmada, fide yetiştiriciliği ile arazi denemelerinde bitkisel materyal olarak 4 adet tatlı mısır (Zea mays L. var. saccharata cvs. 'Merit F1, Sunshine F1, Martha F1 ve Vega F1') çeşidi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada fide yetiştiriciliği, her bir çeşit için 4 fide yaşı (20, 30, 40 ve 50 günlük) kullanılarak sera şartlarında yapılmış ve fideler çeşitlerin tamamında her iki deneme yılında da 6 Haziran tarihinde araziye dikilmiştir.Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre; Sunshine F1 ve Merit F1 çeşidi diğer tatlı mısır çeşitlerine göre, toplam şeker ve glikoz içerikleri bakımından daha iyi sonuçlar vermiştir. Çeşit ve fide yaşı birlikte değerlendirildiğinde Merit F1 çeşidinin 30 günlük fidelerinde en yüksek verim (961,24 kg/da) elde edilmiştir. Koçan özellikleri ile ilgili parametrelerde Martha F1 çeşidinin 20 veya 30 günlük fidelerinin diğer çeşitlere göre daha iyi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Fide yaşındaki artışa bağlı olarak verim (1223,08-144,22 kg/da), koçan özellikleri glikoz (%3,50-0,50) ve bitki boyu (94,68-64,56 cm) içeriklerinde azalma belirlenirken, SÇKM (%19,50-22,17), kuru madde miktarı (%26,84-41,27) koçan randımanı (%66,52-73,42) ve toplam şekerde (%3,51-4,13) artış tespit edilmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda, Erzurum koşullarında glikoz, toplam şeker içeriği ve verim bir arada değerlendirildiğinde çeşit ve fide yaşı olarak en uygun Merit F1 çeşidinin 30 günlük fideleri ile, koçan özellikleri bakımından ise Martha F1 çeşidinin 20 veya 30 günlük fideleri ile yetiştiricilik yapılmasının daha uygun olacağı sonucuna varılmıştır.

This research was conducted in the department of Horticulture, Atatürk University, to determine effects of seedlings age on properties the yield and development in varieties of sweet corn (Zea mays L. var. saccharata cvs. 'Merit F1, Sunshine F1, Martha F1 and Vega F1') in 2011 and 2012.In this research, four different sweet corn varieties (Zea mays L. var. saccharata cvs. 'Merit F1, Sunshine F1, Martha F1 ve Vega F1') were used as plant materials in the seedling cultivation and field trials. In this study, the seedling cultivation were conducted using four different seedling age (20, 30, 40 and 50 day) for each variety in greenhouse conditions. Whole of the seedling varieties were planted in the field on 6 June in each year.According to the results obtained from the study, the total sugar and glucose contents gave better results in Sunshine F1 and Merit F1 rather than the other sweet corn variety. In together evaluated the variety and seedling age, the highest yield was (961,24 kg/da) obtained from 30-day-old seedling of Merit F1. In the parameters related with cob traits, 20 or 30-day-old seedling of Martha F1 rather than the other varieties were determined as the best.Depending on the increase in the seedlings age; while a decrease in the contents of yield (1223,08-144,22 kg/da), cob properties, glucose (%3,50-0,50) and plant height (94,68-64,56 cm) were determined, a increase in the contents of SSC (%19,50-22,17), dry matter content (%26,84-41,27), cob yield (%66,52-73,42) and total sugar (%3,51-4,13) were determined.At the end of the study, while the 30-day-old seedling of Merit F1 is the most suitable for the glucose, the total sugar content and yield, the 20 or 30-day-old seedling of Martha F1 are the most suitable for the cob properties with regard to variety and seedling age in the Erzurum conditions.
