dc.description.abstractÖZET Serbest Radikal Yolla Bazı Poliaerlerin Modifikasyonu Oligoperoksitlerin serbest radikal yolla blok ve graft kopolimer e İdesinde kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada polibutadien ile aktif polistiren yeni termal graft kopolitaerizasyon yöntemiyle 92 `C de polimerleşt irilerek graft kopolimer elde edildi. tik olarak stirenin oligo (adipoil-5-peroksi-2,5-dimetil-n-hek- zil peroksit), OAHP, ve oligododekandioil peroksit, ODDP ile polime- rizasyomı ile aktif polimer sentezlendi. Bu aktif polimerler Örnekle ri ana zincirde parçalanmamış peroksijen grupları içermektedir. İkinci aşamada, polibutadien ve aktif polistirenin homojen karı şımı 92°C de reaksiyona sokuldu. Polistiren-g-polibutadien graft ko- polimerleri yüksek verimle elde edildi, fraksiyonla çöktürme ve inf rared spektroskopi yöntemiyle karakterizasyonu yapıldı. dc.description.abstractSUMMARY Modification of Some Polymers by Free Radical Mechanism Oligoperoxides are well known to get block and graft copolymers by free radical mechanism. In this study, a new thermal graft copolymerization method was carried out by the reaction between poly- butadiene and active polystyrene at 92`C. Firstly, active polystyrenes were obtained by the polymerization of styrene with oligo (adipoyl-5-peroxy-2,5-dimethyl n-hexyl peroxide), OAHP, and oligododecandioyl peroxide, ODDP. These active polystyrenes samples having undecomposed peroxygene groups in the main chain. In the second step, horaogene mixture of polybutadiene and active polystyrene was reacted under vacuum at 92°C. Polystyrene-g- polybutadiene copolymers were obtained in high yields and characterized by the fractional precipitation method and Infrared spectroscopy. It was found that homopolymer formation during copolymerization is negligible. Key Words: Polystyrene, graft copolymer, modification of poly mer, active polymer, oligoperoxide.en_US
