Ağaçişleri mobilya endüstrisinde çalışma süreleri ve işgücü verimliliği ilişkisinin araştırılması

Abstract

AGAÇIŞLERI MOBİLYA ENDÜSTRİSİNDE ÇALIŞMA SÜRELERİ İŞGÜCÜ VERİMLİLİĞİ İLİŞKİSİNİN ARAŞTIRILMASI Özlem Bozkurt Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Ağaçişleri Endüstri Mühendisliği Anabilim Dalı ÖZ Bu çalışmada, verimliliği etkileyen pek çok faktörden biri olan işgücü performansı ile çalışma süreleri arasındaki ilişki; Türkiye'deki ağaçişleri mobilya endüstrisi işletmeleri esas alınarak araştırılmıştır. Yapılan anket araştırması; Türkiye'deki mobilya işletmelerinin önemli bir bölümünün, haftalık çalışma süresi ve mesai çalışmaları konusunda yasal kriterlere uymadığını göstermiştir. Bu durum, işletmelerin verimliliği artırma çalışmaları yapmak yerine, işgücünü mümkün olduğu kadar fazla çalıştırarak üretimi çoğaltma yoluna gittiğinin göstergesidir. Verimlilik artırılmadan, üretim bu şekilde çoğaltılmaya çalışıldığında ise elde edilen büyüme çok sınırlı olmaktadır. Çalışanların değişik zaman dilimlerinde gösterdikleri verim oranlarının araştırılması için yapılan performans ölçümleri, işgücü verimliliği ile çalışma zamanları arasında önemli bir ilişki olduğunu göstermiştir. Yorgunluğun artması ile beraber, günün son saatlerinde ve haftanın son işgününde, işgücü verimliliği büyük oranda düşmektedir. İşe konsantrasyonun arttığı ancak henüz yorgunluğun ortaya çıkmadığı ara zamanlar ise verimliliğin en yüksek olduğu çalışma zamanlarıdır. RESEARCH OF RELATION BETWEEN WORKING TİMES AND WORKERS PRODUCTIVITY IN WOOD PRODUCTS AND FURNITURE INDUSTRY özlem Bozkurt Hacettepe University, Department of Woodworking Industrial Engineering ABSTRACT In this work, the relation between the labor productivity and working periods, which is one of the many factors affecting the productivity, is studied based on the enterprises active in the woodworking and furniture industry in Turkey. The questionnaire-based research has shown that a substantial portion of the furniture enterprises in Turkey do not comply with the legal criteria in terms of weekly working periods and working hour operations. This situation is an indication of the fact that, in order to increase the production, the enterprises choose to have the workforce work as much as possible rather than carrying out operations aiming to increase productivity. When it is attempted to increase the production in this way without increasing the productivity, the growth obtained as a result is highly limited. The performance measurements done to study the productivity ratios demonstrated by the employees at different periods of time showed that there is an important retation between the labor productivity and working times. As the tiredness increases, the labor productivity substantially decreases by the final working hours of the day and by the last working day of the week. The intermediary times when the concentration on the work increases but the tiredness is not felt yet are the times when the productivity is at the maximum level.
