Tokat kentinin fiziksel gelişimi, anıtsal ve sivil mimari örneklerinin analizi ve değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Ülkemizde hızlı kentleşme ve gelişmenin bir sonucu olarak, pek çok tarihi kent fiziksel ve sosyal değişimlerle karşı karşıyadır. Koruma bilincinin yerleşmediği bu tarihi kent dokularında kültürel değerleri geniş halk kitlelerine tanıtmak, benimsetmek ve böylece bir koruma kültürü oluşturulması bağlamında bu çalışma önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmada tarihi çok eski dönemlere kadar uzanan Tokat kentinin fiziksel gelişimi, anıtsal ve sivil mimari örnekleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı kentin fiziksel gelişimini, kent kimlik elemanlarıyla birlikte ele alıp, kültürel miras envanterinin oluşturulması, analizi ve değerlendirilmesinin yapılmasıdır. Bu bağlamda yapılacak olan koruma çalışmalarına sağlıklı veri olabilecek niteliklerinin ortaya konulması hedeflenen bu çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır.Birinci bölümde, çalışmanın amacı ve yöntemi belirtilmiş, Tokat kent dokusu; konumu, fiziksel, sosyo-ekonomik özellikleri gibi başlıklar altında irdelenmiş, aynı zamanda bu bölümde kentin tarihsel gelişimine de ayrıntılı biçimde yer verilmiştir.İkinci bölümde, dönemlerine göre sınıflandırılan anıtsal ve sivil mimari örnekleri ortaya koyularak hem literatür hem de alan çalışması yürütülerek kentin kültürel miras envanteri çıkarılmış, yazılı ve görsel olarak yapılar hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.Üçüncü bölümde, anıtsal ve sivil mimari örneklerinden elde edilen veriler tipolojik bir sınıflandırma yoluna gidilerek irdelenmiş ve Tokat kentinin yapısal kimliği ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır.Dördüncü bölümde, tüm incelemeler ve değerlendirmeler doğrultusunda çalışmanın sonuçları verilmiş, Tokat kentinin fiziksel gelişimi, anıtsal ve sivil mimari örnekleri ortaya koyulmuş ve bu sonuçlar doğrultusunda Tokat kenti için kentsel kimliğinin korunması ve yaşatılması bağlamında öneriler verilmiştir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Tokat, Anıtsal ve Sivil Mimari, Kent Dokusu, Koruma, KültürelMiras, Belgeleme.

Most of the historical cities of Turkey are faced with physical and social changes as a result of rapid urbanization and development. Thus, this study is important in the context of introducing, getting the large body of citizens to accept cultural values and creating conservation of the culture in these cities where the consciousness of conservation has not been settled yet. This study aims to discuss physical development of Tokat city whose history dates back to the early periods of the history by analyzing its monumental and civil architectural examples. The main goal of this study is to discuss, analyze and evaluate the physical development together with the city identification elements and create inventory of city?s cultural heritage. In this context, this study aiming to determine attributes that serve as accurate data for conservation works to be performed consists of four chapters.In the first chapter, the aim of the study and methods were introduced. The city texture of Tokat was discussed under the titles of location, physical, social-economics features. In addition historical development of city was presented in detail in this chapter.In the second chapter, monumental and civil architectural examples classified according to their era of creation were introduced. The inventory of city?s cultural heritage was determined by performing literature and field work and visual and written information about buildings were provided.In the third chapter, the data obtained from the civil and monumental architectural examples were analyzed by applying typological classification method and structural identity of Tokat city was tried to be determined.In the fourth chapter, the results of this study that were obtained by all these analyses and evaluations were presented; the physical development of the city, civil and monumental architectural examples were determined; suggestions based upon these results for conservation and perpetuation of the city identity were proposed.Key Words: Tokat, Monumental and Civil Architecture, City texture, Conservation,Cultural Heritage, Documentation.
