Ses bilgisi ve akustik konusunda geliştirilen etkinliklerin müzik ve fizik öğretmen adaylarının tutum ve başarı düzeylerine olan etkisinin araştırılması

Abstract

Fizik eğitimi alan yazını incelendiğinde, disiplinler arası öğretim anlayışının son yıllarda oldukça ön plana çıktığı görülmektedir. Fizik ve müzik disiplinleri ele alınarak disiplinler arası anlayış doğrultusunda yapılan bu araştırma, ses bilgisi ve akustik konusu kapsamında yürütülmüştür. Bu araştırmanın amacı; ses bilgisi ve akustik konusunda geliştirilen etkinliklerle desteklenerek işlenen dersin, müzik ve fizik öğretmenliği programlarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin tutum ve başarı düzeylerine olan etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma grubunu Ankara?da bulunan iki devlet üniversitesinde 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 62 müzik öğretmenliği ile 55 fizik öğretmenliği programı öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ?Fizik ve Müzik İlişkisine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği? ve ?Ses Bilgisi ve Akustik Konusuna Yönelik Başarı Testi? ile toplanmıştır. Hem fizik hem de müzik öğretmenliği programlarında deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuştur. Ses bilgisi ve akustik konusu deney gruplarında, araştırmacının geliştirdiği etkinliklerle desteklenerek anlatılırken; kontrol gruplarındaki derslerde, düz anlatım yapılmıştır. Her iki katılım grubundan ön test ve son test olarak toplanan veriler analiz edilmiş, analizler sonucunda hem müzik öğretmenliği hem de fizik öğretmenliği programlarındaki deney grubu öğrencilerinin tutum ve başarı düzeylerinin kontrol gruplarınınkinden istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir şekilde daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda ayrıca müzik öğretmenliği programı deney grubu öğrencilerinin başarılarının, fizik öğretmenliği programı deney grubu öğrencilerininkinden anlamlı bir şekilde daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Deney gruplarındaki öğrencilerin tutum ve başarı düzeyleri kontrol gruplarınınkine göre daha yüksek hesaplandığı için fizik ile müziğin iç içe olduğu ses bilgisi ve akustik konusunda, fizik ile müzik ilişkisine dayalı etkinliklere yer verilmesi önerilmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Fizik, müzik, müzik fiziği, ses fiziği, disiplinler arası yaklaşım

When physics education area literature is examined, it is seen that understanding of interdisciplinary education comes to the first stage very much in latest years. This research done in the direction of interdisciplinary understanding by taking at hand disciplines of physics and music has been conducted in the context of soundknowledge and acoustics subjects. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of classes given being supported by activities developed in soundknowledge and acoustics to the attitude and achievement levels of students who are educated in music and physics teacher programs. The research group is formed of 62 music teacher?s and 55 physics teacher?s program students who are educated in two state universities at Ankara in the 2011 ? 2012 education year. The data of this research is collected by the ?Attitude Scale regarding the Relationof Physics and Music? and ?Achievement Test on Sound Knowledge andAcoustics? which are developed by the researcher. Both in physics and music teacher?s programs, experiment and control groups have been formed. While sound knowledge and acoustics subjects are told by being supported with activities developed by the researcher in the experiment group, in the classes of control group, plain telling of the subject has been done. Data collected from both attendance groups as pretest and posttest are analyzed and as a result of analyses, it has been detected that, attitude and achievement levels of experiment group students in both music teacher?s and physics teacher?s programs are higher than control groups in a way which is statistically meaningful. Besides, as a result of analyses, it has been determined that achievements of music teacher?s program experiment group students are meaningfully higher than physics teacher?s experiment group students. As the attitude and achievement levels of students in the experimental group is calculated higher, in the subject of sound knowledge and acoustics where physics and music are one inside another, it is proposed to give place to activities based to the relationship of physics and music.Keywords: Physics, music, physics of music, physics of sound, interdisciplinary approach
