H-v f-;.^./>.?,' s ^ Ti02'in ayrılmasından sonra çözeltiye etanol^ '(Veya- ^

Mus^fs.OZûtMİB. AaSPfi* ftqfte t/«Ti 1- A 1 U.MA2 This study was carried out in order to utilization of red mud. Depending on acid concentration the optimum condi tions for dissolution of red mud, was determined in HC1 and H2SO4. For seperation of iron, the sample was dissolved in H2SO4. The solution contains titanium, aluminium and iron sulfates. The ferric ions in the solution was reduced to the ferrous ions by using metallic iron thus FeS04.6H20 was crystallised. TİO2 was recovered by pH control and hydrolysis process. Al+^ ions was precipitated as NH4AI (SO4) 2.I2H2O with adding ethanol (or acetone).iv Obtained TiO£ samples have been analysed : by U.V. Spectrophotometer, in additions, x-Ray difraction analyses were obtained and compared with ASTM standarts. The results of the experiments showed that 69 % of iron, 51 % - 64 % titanium and 83 % - 86 % aluminium were recovered as FeS04.6H20, TİO2, NH4A1(S04) 2.I2H2O respec tively from the red mud.
