Dr. Tayfun Çay Bu çalışma, Türkiye'de yapılan imar planı uygulamalarında karşılaşılan sorunların çözümü için öneriler sunmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çıkan sonuçlara göre; coğrafi bilgi sistemi ortamında uygulanacak eşdeğerlilik yönteminin sağlayacağı imkanlar ve adalet gösterilmiş, eşdeğerlilik yönteminin uygulanabilirliliği kanıtlamış, coğrafi bilgi sistemlerinin önemi vurgulanmış ve bu doğrultuda yeni bir arazi ve arsa düzenleme mevzuatının hazırlanması gereği ortaya çıkmıştır.
