Türkiye`nin güneydoğu bölgesinin akrepleri (Arachnida: Scorpiones)

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 2003, 2010-2012 yılları arasında Türkiye'nin Güneydoğusunda (Hatay, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa ve Mardin) toplanan Scorpiones takımına ait örneklerin sistematikleri, morfolojileri, dağılışları, yuva yapıları, yuvalanma yerleri, kışlama biyolojileri ve habitatları araştırılmıştır. Toplam 129 lokaliteden 698 akrep örneği taksonomik olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmalar neticesinde, Buthidae familyasından dokuz (Androctonus crassicauda, Buthacus macrocentrus, Compsobuthus matthiesseni, C. schmiedeknechti, Hottentotta saulcyi, Leiurus abdullahbayrami, Mesobuthus gibbosus, M. nigrocinctus ve M. phillipsii), Iuridae familyasından bir (Calchas birulai) ve Scorpionidae familyasından iki (Scorpio maurus fuscus ve S. m. palmatus) olmak üzere toplam üç familyadan sekiz cinse ait on bir tür ve iki alttürün bölgede dağılış gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu türlerin vücut kısımları ayrıntılı olarak ultraviyole ışık altında fotoğraflanmıştır. S. m. palmatus Türkiye'den ilk kez kaydedilmiştir. Ayrıca zorunlu kazıcı akrep türlerinden olan S. m. fuscus ve S. m. palmatus'u gündüz yuvasından çıkarmak için yeni yöntem tanıtılmıştır. Bu yöntemde yuvaya bir miktar su dökülmüş, dökülen su nedeniyle yuva ağzına gelen akrep; yuvanın giriş yönünün 10 cm gerisinden bir kürek toprak alınarak yakalanmıştır. Toprak içerisine ve taş altına yuva yapan akreplerin yuva şekilleri, yaşam alanı tercihleri ve kışlama biyolojileri ilk kez araştırılmıştır. Toprak içerisine yuva yapan S. maurus'un yuva şekli yuvaya alçı dökmek suretiyle modellenmiştir.

In this study, systematics, morphology, distribution, burrow structures, nesting sites, wintering biology and habitat aspects of samples belonging to the Scorpiones collected in the Southeast of Turkey (Hatay, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa and Mardin Province) between the years 2003, 2010-2012 were investigated. Totally 698 specimens from 129 localities were taxonomically examined. It was established that eleven species and two subspecies belong to eight genera, which are nine species of the family Buthidae (Androctonus crassicauda, Buthacus macrocentrus, Compsobuthus matthiesseni, C. schmiedeknechti, Hottentotta saulcyi, Leiurus abdullahbayrami, Mesobuthus gibbosus, M. nigrocinctus and M. phillipsii), one species of the family Iuridae (Calchas birulai) and two subspecies of the family Scorpionidae (Scorpio maurus fuscus and S. m. palmatus ) live in the region. The parts of the body of this species were photographed under ultraviolet light in detail. S. m. palmatus was recorded for the first time in Turkey. Also a new method is introduced for out of burrows the scorpions as S. m. fuscus and S. m. palmatus which is an obligate digger scorpion. İn this method water was poured into a burrow, and the scorpion, which came out near the entrance of the burrow, was captured by placing a shovelful of soil 10 cm behind the entrance. For the first time habitats and wintering biology of scorpions were observed, and shapes of underground burrows and burrows built under stones were investigated. Shapes of underground burrows of S. maurus was modelled by poured plaster into the burrow.
