dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada diabetik hastalarda serum, eritrosit ve Iökositlerin serbest radikallerden etkilenme derecelerini arastirmak amaciyla 3-18 yasları arasinda (ortalama 10.19) 29 sağlıklı çocuk (13 kız, 16 erkek) ile 3-27 yaşları arasinda (ortalama 12.82) insulin depedent diabetes mellitus (IDDM)'li 34 cocukta (20 kiz, 14 erkek ) serum, eritrosit ve lökosit lipid peroksidasyonu ile eritrosit glutatyon peroksidaz (GSHPx), superoksid dismutaz (SOD) ve lökosit GSHPx, SOD ile serum ve lökosit C vitaminleri tayinleri yapıldı.Lipid peroksidasyonu, peroksidasyonun son ürünü olan MDA cinsinden ölçüldü.Hasta grubuna aid serum, eritrosit ve lokosit lipid peroksidasyonu ile eritrosit GSHPx, SOD ve lökosit GSHPx, SOD ile serum ve lökosit C vitamini düzeyleri sirasiyla 2.817 ±1.41 nmol / ml. 6.300±4.934 nmol / gHb, 12.28±13.06 nmol / mg protein , 26.47±10.52 U / gHb, 1406.4±280.4 U / gHb, 4.805±4.565 U /mg protein, 1.226±0.704 U / mg protein, 0.883±0.347 mg /dl, 30.37±11.05 µg /108 lök, kontrol grubuna aid aynı değerler sırası ile 2.617±0.984nmol / ml, 6.225± 4.106 nmol / gHb, 12.10±5.82 nmol / mg protein, 27.33± 0.04 U / gHb, 1487.7±355.9 U /gHb, 4.857±4.587 U / mg protein, 1.437± 0.872 U / mg protein, 925± 0.299 mg / dl, 30.76± 14.36 µg / 108 lök olarak bulundu.Her iki gruba aid bu parametrelerden hicbiri arasinda istatistiki acidan inlamli fark bulunamadi.Öte yandan, calisilan parametrelerin hicbiri ile hastalann AKS, HbA1c, yası ve diabet suresi arasinda anlamli bir korelasyon olmadiği görüldü.Sonuc olarak, IDDM'li cocuklarda oksidatif streste bir artisla birlikte intioksidatif savunmada bir azalma meyli oldugu, eritrosit ve lökositlerin az da olsa bundan etkilendikleri , insulin tedavisinin bu bozukluğu düzeltici yönde etki ettiği ve bu bulguların doğrudan diabetin kendisinden ziyade baska faktörlere bağlı olabileceği kanaatine varıldı.
dc.description.abstractIn the present study serum, erythrocyte and leukocyte lipid peroxidation and some antioxidant systems of 34 children (20 F, 14 M) with IDDM and 29 healtly children (13 F 16 M) have been investigated in order to determine the effect of free radicals in these patients.Lipid peroxidation was investigated in terms of malondialdehyde which is an end product of peroxidation.Serum, erythrocyte and leukocyte lipid peroxidation and erythrocyte and leucocyte GSHPx and SOD activities and serum and leukocyte vitamin C levels of the patients were 2.817 ±1.41nmol / ml, G.300±4.934 nmol / gHb, 12.28H3 06 nmol / mg protein, 26.47±10.52 U / gHb, 1406.4+280.4 U / gHb, 4.805±4 565 U / mg protein, 1.22610.704 U / mg protein, 0.883±0.347 mg /dl, 30.37±11.05 µg /108 leu, whereas those of the controls were 2.617± 0.984 nmol / ml, 6.225+ 4.106 nmol / gHb, 12.10+5.82 nmol / mg protein, 27.33± 0.04 U / gHb, 1487.7±355.9 U / gHb, 4.857± 4.587 U / mg protein, 1.437± 0.872 U / mg protein, 0.925± 0.299 mg / dl 30.76+ 14.36 µg / 108 leu respectively.The differences between, the parameters were not statistically significant. Also, there was no correlation between fasting blood glucose, HbA1c, age and the duration of diabetes and any of the above parameters.It was concluded that, there was at least, a tentency toward an increase in lipid peroxidation and a decrease in antioxidant systems in children with IDDM which is corrected by insulin treatment. Also, these disturbances were concluded to be due to some other factors rather than diabetes itself.en_US
