Birleştirilmiş sanat eğitimi yöntemine göre ilköğretim II. basamağında sanat eleştirisinin uygulanması ve sonuçları

Abstract

Özet Ülkemizde uygulanmakta olan resim-iş dersleri, öğrencilere sanat eğitiminin amaçladığı davranışları kazandırmaktan ve aktif olarak öğrenme sürecine katılabilme olanağı vermekten uzak bulunmaktadır. Sanat eğitimini sadece uygulama ağırlıklı ve el becerisi olarak düşünmek çağdaş sanat öğretimi felsefesine ters düşmektedir. Ülkemizde YÖK-Dünya Bankası'nın ortaklaşa projesine göre 1996-1997 öğretim yılından itibaren sanat tarihi, estetik, sanat eleştirisi ve uygulamalı çalışmaları içine alan Birleştirilmiş Sanat Eğitimi Yöntemi (Disiplin Merkezli Sanat Eğitimi) Eğitim Fakültelerinin eğitim programlarında yürürlüğe konulmuştur. Çalışmamızda bu dört disiplinden biri olan sanat eleştirisi disiplininin öğrencilerin sanat eğitimindeki başarılarını ne ölçüde etkilediği araştırılmıştır. Bunun için ilköğretim ikinci basamağı 7. sınıfında deney ve kontrol grubu oluşturulmuş ve öntest uygulanmıştır. Deney grubunda 12 hafta süreyle, haftada 40 dakika bu yönteme göre ders işlenmiştir. Bu derslerden sonra deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine uygulanan sontest basan puanlan arasında deney grubu lehine belirgin bir fark gözlenmiştir.

Abstract Art education in Turkey has not managed to give required education and motivation to the students. Therefore students could not obtain necessary educational behaviour and they do not join active learning lecture programs. However nowadays, considering the art education lectures as a art production courses where the students are training for their artistic capabilities is opposing the contemporary art education philosophy. According to The YOK-World Bank National Education Development Project, Discipline Based Art Education (DBAE) program which includes mainly art history, art production, art criticism and aesthetics has been started to administer at Educational Faculties of Turkish Universities. In this research study, effects of art criticism education on the students art knowledge has been investigated. In order to facilitate the research, control and experimental student groups were constituted from 7 grade classrooms of a selected secondary school and they were tested (pretest) for their general art knowledge. Then special lectures were given to experimental group according to DBAE programs for 12 weeks time (40 minutes per week). At the end of the semester same test were performed at the control and experimental groups. It is observed from this test that experimental group has an advantage with respect to control group when the general art knowledge is considered.
