Abstract

SUMMARY This study is an area investigation which have been done on town-dweller families have child in Turkey. The views of the families to child change according to the structure of the social- culturel of their region in Turkish community. However, psychological, demographic, economical factors, social changes, technological developments, every kinds of belief become different the worths given by the families to child. In this meaning, the subject of the our investigation is the worth given by town-dweller families to child. The aim of this study is to determine the worth given to child in town-dweller families. An another important subject is that what can influence this worth given by town-dweller families. For this purpose,some hypothesis have been established and these hypothesis have been analyzed at the end of the study. Our investigation mainly consists of two parts. In the first part, there are conceptual frame and methodology sub-parts. In the first sub-part of the second part, the datas of the region investigation have been given as tables and than hypothesis have been checked and confirmed. IV
