Abdullah b.Revâha` nın hayatı ve şahsiyeti

Abstract

Hazrec kabilesine mensub olan Abdullah b. Revâha Medine'de doğdu. Doğumu, çocukluğu ve gençlik yılları hakkında detaylı bilgiler kaynaklarda yer almamaktadır. Cahiliye döneminde okuma yazma bilen az sayıdaki kişilerden biri idi. Çok iyi bir şair olan Abdullah b. Revâha Evs ve Hazrec kabileleri arasındaki savaşlarda kabilesini sanatı ile müdafaa etti.II. Akabe Biatı'nda(sözleşmesi) Müslüman olan Abdullah b. Revâha on iki nakibten(temsilci) birisi olmuş, Medine'de kurulacak olan devletin oluşumunda yer almıştır.Hz. Peygamber Abdullah'ı özel katibleri arasına alarak ona verdiği değeri göstermiştir. Abdullah b. Revâha Bedir, Uhud, Hendek, Hayber Savaşları, Hudeybiye ve Umretü'l-Kaza Seferlerine katılmıştır. Müslümanların ilk zaferi olan Bedir Zaferini müjdelemek üzere görevlendirilmiştir.II. Bedir Seferi'nde Medine'de Hz. Peygamber yerine vekil olarak Abdullah b. Revâha'yı bırakmıştır.Hz. Peygamber Yahudiler ile olan diplomatik ilişkilerde Abdullah b. Revâha'yı görevlendirmiştir. Hayber mahsullerini anlaşma gereği taksimini yine o yaptı. Bu durumlar Abullah'ın İbranice bildiğini akla getirmektedir.Hz. Peygamber'in, Hicretin 8. yılında (Miladi/629) Mûte Seferine ordunun başına tayin ettiği üç komutandan sonuncusudur. Şairliğinin yanı sıra çok etkileyici bir hitabet gücüne sahiptir. Mûte Seferi'ne çıkan 3000 kişiden oluşan Müslüman kuvvetler, kendilerine devasa bir Bizans Ordusunun geldiğini haber alınca geri çekilip takviye isteme fikri benimsenmişken, Abdullah b. Revâha yaptığı konuşmayla bundan vazgeçirerek savaşmaya karar verilmiştir.Abdullah b. Revâha Mûte'de şehit olmuştur. O Allah'a ve Hz. Peygamber'e bağlı bir insandı.

Abdullah bin Rawaha (6??-6??) was a member of the Khazraj tribe and born in Medina. His birth, childhood and youth are mentioned in detail in primary source texts. He was one of the literate people during the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyya). A great poet Abdullah bin Rawaha defended his tribe through his eloquence in the battles between the tribes of Aws and Khazraj.He turned to Islam during the second Akaba contract, and became one of the 12 representatives of Medina taking part in the establishment of the state therein.The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) honored him by selecting him as his close scribe.He participated in the battles of Uhud, Khandaq and Khayber, and the expeditions of Hudaibiya and Umrat al-Qaza.He was chosen to announce the victory of Badr, the first victory of Muslims.The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) left him in Medina in the second Badr expedition as his deputy.The Prophet (peace be upon him) appointed him for diplomatic affairs with the Jews. In light of the agreement he made on behalf of the Muslims, he shared with the Jews the harvest. This indicates that he knew Hebrew.He was one of the last three commanders to whom the Prophet (peace be upon him) designated for the expedition of Muta in the eighth year of migration in 629 A.D. As well as being an eloquent poet, he was a brilliant orator.When Muslim forces consisting of some 3000 people in the Muta expedition were informed that a huge and impressive Byzantine army was approaching, they thought that they should withdraw and ask for support, but Abdullah b. Rawaha remained steadfast in the face of such odds convincing them to fight.He was martyred in the Muta expedition. He was loyal to God and the Prophet (peace be upon him).
