Sürdürülebilir işletme açısından karbon muhasebesi ve bir uygulama

Abstract

İşletmelerin çevresel çıktıları günümüzde toplum tarafından daha fazla önemsenmekte, tüketicilerin kararlarında önemli bir unsur haline gelmektedir. Bu çıktılardan biri de sanayi devriminden sonra hızla artan sera gazlarının emisyonudur. Günümüzde yükselen toplumsal bilinç, dünya ülkelerini uluslararası bir önlem almaya yöneltmiş ve Kyoto Protokolü hayata geçirilmiştir. Bu çerçevede uygulanan karbon ticareti, karbon vergisi ve temiz teknolojilere yatırım teşvikleri gibi önlemler, işletmelere ek maliyetler yüklemeye veya fırsatlar sunmaya devam etmektedir. Ülkeler de muhasebe sistemlerinde buna yönelik değişikliklere gitmektedirler. Bu çalışmanın amacı, sera gazı emisyonlarına dayalı finansal işlemleri muhasebe sistemine tanıtmak ve muhasebe uygulamalarında meydana getireceği değişiklikleri incelemektir.

Nowadays, environmental outputs are cared by society and it becomes an important factor in the consumers' decisions. The emission of green house gases which rapidly increase after the industrial revolution is one of these outputs. Nowadays, the rising social consciousness has directed world countries to get an international measures and Kyoto Protocol have been implemented. So, precautions applied such as carbon trading, carbon taxes and investment subsidy in clean technologies have imposed additional costs to firms or have offered opportunities. Therefore, changes about accounting systems have been made in the countries. The purpose of this study is to introduce financial transactions based on green house gases missions to accounting system and to examine changes may occur in accounting practices.
