Demokrat Parti döneminde Kadın gazetesi (1950-1960)

Abstract

Gazete bir bölgede kamuoyu oluşturan en önemli kuvvetlerdendir. Gazetenin amacı farklı konularda haber ve bilgilere yer vererek topluma hizmet etmektir. Bu görev anlayışı ve sorumluluk bilinciyle kurulan gazetelerden biri de Kadın Gazetesi'dir. Kadın Gazetesi'ni diğer gazetelerden ayıran özellik, kadınların neyi, nasıl yapması gerektiği konusunda okuyucuları aydınlatmayı bir hedef olarak koymasıdır.Kadın Gazetesi 1947'de başlayıp 1979 yılına kadar İstanbul'da yayınlanan haftalık gazetedir. Gazete çıktığı dönemden itibaren siyasi, sosyal, sağlık, eğitim, ekonomi, kültür gibi konuları ele almıştır. Gazeteyi, dönemindeki diğer yayınlardan ayıran en önemli özellik adından da anlaşılacağı gibi sahibi ve yazar kadrosunun kadınlardan oluşmasıdır. Ayrıca dönem içerisinde geçen tüm olaylara kadın gözünden bakması açısından dikkat çekicidir.1950 seçimleri ile gelişen demokrasi sayesinde Türkiye'de basın anlayışında çalkantılı bir süreç yaşanmıştır. Tek parti iktidarından sonraki dönemlere bakıldığında basın anlayışı, daha dikkatli temeller üzerine kurulmuştur. Aksi takdirde gazetelerin ve gazetecilerin alacakları cezai uygulamalar ağır ve kaçınılmazdır. Bu şartlar altında Kadın Gazetesi, Atatürk'ün çağdaşlaşma anlayışına uygun olarak kadınların ruhuna derinlemesine inmeyi başarmıştır. Çalışmamızda, 32 yıl gibi uzun bir süre devam eden Kadın Gazetesinin sayıları tek tek taranmış ve Demokrat Parti Dönemine denk gelen 1950-1960 yılları arası her yönüyle değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Newspaper is one of the most important forces in public opinion. The aim of the newspaper is to serve the public by news and information on different topics. One of the newspapers footprints in history is the sense of responsibility on public affairs and soles the women's newspaper. What distinguishes Women's Newspaper from other newspaper is that it is a goal to advise readers about what woman should do and how should do it.Woman's Newspaper is a weekly newspaper published in İstanbul in 1947 till 1979. As from the period when the newspaper appeared, it discussed political, social, health, education, economy and culture topics. The most important factors that makes the newspaper distinguishable is the fact that the owner and writer staff is made up of solely woman as it is noticeable from the point of view, opinions and it is noteworthy to search at all the events in the period.With the 1950 elections in emerging democracies has experienced a turbulent period in the understanding of the press in Turkey. Looking at the periods after the one-party rule, the concept of press was founded on strong foundations. Otherwise, criminal proceeding of newspapers and journalists were heavy and inevitable. Under these circumstances, the Women's Newspaper managed to go deeper into the soul of women in accordance with the modernization concept of Atatürk.In our study, the numbers of the Women's Newspaper, which lasted for a long period of 32 years, were scanned one by one and it was evaluated in every aspect between 1950 and 1960s, which is the period of the Democratic Party.
