La Réalité de la Société Française dans Boule de Suif

Abstract

Bu eser, 19. yüzyılda yaşayan `Boule de Suif` olarak adlandırılan bir hayat kadınının sosyal durumunu işlemektedir. Boule de Suif nezaketi, alçakgönüllülüğü, yurtseverliliği ile, aynı durumdaki diğer kadınlardan farklıdır ancak ; farklılığı kendi döneminin kurbanı olmasını engelleyemez. Zamanın Fransız toplumunun farklı kesimlerini temsil eden diğer karakterleri tarafından sürekli aşağılanır ve küçümsenir. Normandiya'da, 1870 savaşı sırasında, aralarında `Boule de Suif`inde olduğu on yolcu Prusyalılar tarafından istila edilen Rouen'den ayrılmak için bir at arabasına binerler. 19. yüzyıl toplumunundaki kesimlerin birer örneği olan her bir yolcu bir araya gelerek yine aynı toplumun temsili küçük bir grubunu oluşturur. This work is about the social condition of a prostitute nicknamed ''Boule de Suif'' lived in the 19th century. She is constantly despised and belittled by the other characters who represent the different levels of French society of that time. Bull de Suif is different from other women who have the same situation by her kindness, her humility, her patriotism but that difference does not prevent him from being a victim of her time.In Normandy, during the war of 1870, ten travelers board a stagecoach to leave Rouen, which is invaded by the Prussians. The passengers form a microcosm, each of them representing a sample of 19th century society. The presence of Bull de Suif disturbs her companions. They didn't know the young woman. The adventures of the trip will update the baseness of each other. Mau-passant tries to show that human qualities have nothing to do with social status
