NİN YE BUNUN HOMO YE KOPOLİ MERLERİNİN SENTEZİ Hilmi ERTEN Fırat Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri En3titü3ii Kimya Anabilim Dalı 1 995, Sayfa: 80 Hidroksi akrilik polfmerleri endüstride ve ti palanında geniş olarak kullanılırlar. Bu çalışmada akrilik asit 3-5iklohekzi1oksi-2,3-epoksi propan pridin katalizörlüğünde, foluen çözücüsünde, az hidrokinon yanında 85°C'de etkileştirilerek HPA (3- Siklohekzıloksi- 2- hidroksi propil akrilat) monomeri sentezlendi. HPA homopolimeri ve sti renle kopoli meri 1,4-dioksan çözücüsünde, 60°C ± TC*de argon atmosferinde ve % 0.2 benzoil peroksit radikalık başlatıcısı kullanılarak sentezlendi. Polimerler İR, 'H-NMR ve '^C-MMR spektroskopisi ve yoğunluklarının belirlenmesi ile karakterize edildi. Polimerin çözünürlük parametresi farklı çözücülerdeki şişme katsayılarının ölçülmesiyle tayin edildi. Kopolimerin reaktivite oranları Ke1en-Tudo3 metoduyla hesaplandı. Homo ve kopolimerlerin termal özellikleri TGA ile belirlendi. Homo ve kopolimerlerin camsı geçiş sıcaklıkları DSC ile belirlendi. Homo ve kopolimerlerin molekül ağırlıkları GPCile belirlendi. dc.description.abstractIV SUMMARY Master Thesis SYNTHESIS OF ACRYLATE MONOMER WITH CYCLOHEXYL AND HYDROXYL GROUPS AND ITS HOMOPOLYMER AND COPOLYMERS Hilmi ERTEN Fırat University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciencies Department of Chemistry 1 995, Page: 80 Hydroxyacrylic polymers were extensively used in industrial and biomedical fields. In this work, 3-cyc1ohexy1oxy-2-hydroxypropy1 acrylate monomer was obtained from the reaction of acrylic acid with 3-cyclohexyloxy-2,3-epoxypropane carried out in toluen and in presence of small amount of hydroquinon using pyridin as catalyst at 85°C. Free radical homopolymerization HPA and copolymerization with Styrene wa3 carried out in 1,4-dioxane solution under argon atmosphere at 60°C±1°C using 0.2 % benzoyl peroxide as initiator. The polymers were characterized by IR, 'H-NMR and ^C-NMR spectroscopic methods and density measurements. The solubility parameters of polymers were determined by observing their swelling behavior in different solvents. The reactivity ratios in of copolymerization were computed using the Kelen-Tudos method. Thermal stabilities of the homo and copolymers were studied by TGA. The glass transition temperatures of homo and copolymers have been determined by DSC. The meloculer weights of the homo and copolymer were obtained by GPC measurements.
