Buğyetü`t Taleb fî Tarih-i Haleb-ı adlı eserin tercüme ve değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Ortaçağ Tarihi, coğrafya alanında eser veren yazarlar genellikle Dünya'yı 7 bölgeye ayırmaktadır. Tarih literâtüründe bu anlayış Irak ve Belh ekolü olarak yer edinmektedir. Ekollere göre anlayış oluşturan yazarlar en çok Batlamyus'un coğrafya eserinin etkisini diğer eserlerinde hissettirmektedir. İbnü'l-Adîm'in kaleme aldığı Buğyetü't-Taleb fî Tarih-i Haleb eserinde Batlamyus'un anlayışı çerçevesinde oluşturulan Irak ekolüne bağlı olduğu söylenebilir. Eserin giriş kısmı hem Bağdadlı olması hem de Irak ekolüne bağlı olmasından dolayı Halep eksenli işlenmektedir. Ayrıca ifade edilen 7 bölge anlayışına göre, Halep ve çevresi Dünya'nın merkezi kabul edilen 4. Bölgede yer almaktadır. Eserin mekân anlayışını ön planda tutarak bilgi vermesi tarihin bütünlük anlayışından bağımsız olamayacağını açıkça ortaya koymaktadır. Halep ve çevresinde bulunan şehirler hakkında tarihi, coğrafik, dini, kültürel ve tabiata dair verdiği bilgiler bu görüşün en büyük kanıtıdır.
