Hikaye anlatan mekan olarak müze deneyimini okumak: Gaziantep Şahinbey Milli Mücadele Müzesi üzerine ampirik bir çalışma

Abstract

20. yüzyıl ile birlikte geleneksel müzecilik anlayışından uzaklaşarak birer eğitim merkezine dönüşen müzelerde, sergi sahneleri ve sergi mekânlarının yeni bir gelişim süreci içerisinde olduğu izlenmektedir. Müze mekânı içerisinde yer alan sergi sunumlarında hikâye anlatımı önem kazanmış ve etkileşimli alanların gelişimiyle ziyaretçilerin aktif rol alabileceği alanlar çoğaltılmıştır.Hikâye Anlatan Mekân Olarak Müze Deneyimini Okumak: Gaziantep Şahinbey Millî Mücadele Müzesi Üzerine Ampirik Bir Çalışma konulu tez çalışmamım amacı, Şahinbey Millî Mücadele Müzesinin mekânsal ve hikâye anlatımı deneyiminin müze ziyaretçileri üzerindeki etkilerini ve belirleyicilerini incelemek olmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında Gaziantep Şahinbey Millî Mücadele Müzesini deneyimleyen ziyaretçilerle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler sağlanmış ve müze deneyimini gerçekleştiren 400 katılımcıya müzenin mekânsal ve hikâye anlatımı deneyimi üzerine hazırlanan bir anket soru formu uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada uygulanan anket soru formunu, Weibel vd. (2015) Mekânsal Varlığın Ölçülmesi: Resimsel Varlığın Tanıtılması ve Doğrulanması ölçeği oluşturmuştur. Bu ölçekte kullanılan 6 faktör olduğu gibi kullanılmış ve faktörlerin karşılığında yer alan maddeler uyarlanarak müzenin mekânsal ve hikâye anlatımı deneyimine dair sorular anket soru formuna eklenmiştir. Uygulanılan bu anket çalışma neticesinde ele alınan müzenin mekânsal ve hikâye anlatımı deneyiminin ziyaretçiler tarafından nasıl algılandığı anket içeriğinde yer alan faktörlerle ele alınarak sonuçlandırılmıştır. Aynı zamanda müzenin betimleyici analizi ve mekânsal hikâye anlatımı deneyiminin okunması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Modern müzecilik anlayışıyla ele alınan günümüz müzelerinden birini oluşturan Gaziantep Şahinbey Millî Mücadele Müzesinin tarihi konak bölümü ve mağara sergi alanlarının müze ziyaretçilerine anlatmış olduğu betimleyici ve açıklayıcı hikâyeler müzelerin hikâye anlatımında ne kadar önemli olduğunu göstermektedir.

In the 20th century, it is observed that the exhibition scenes and exhibition spaces are in a new period of development in museums which have become a center of education by moving away from the traditional museology concept. In the exhibition presentations within the museum space, storytelling gained importance and the areas where the visitors could take an active role in the development of interactive areas were reproduced.Reading the Experience of the Museum as a Storytelling Place: The purpose of my thesis study on an empirical study on the Gaziantep Sahinbey National Struggle Museum was to examine the effects and determinants of the spatial and storytelling experience of the Sahinbey National Struggle Museum on museum visitors. Within the scope of the study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with the visitors who experienced the Gaziantep Sahinbey National Struggle Museum, and a survey questionnaire was prepared on the spatial and storytelling experience of the museum. Weibel et al. (2015) Measures of Spatial Presence: The Identification and Verification of Pictorial Entity Scale. The 6 factors used in this scale were used and questions related to the spatial and storytelling experience of the museum were added to the questionnaire. As a result of this survey, the spatial and storytelling experience of the museum, which was discussed in the survey, was evaluated by the factors included in the questionnaire. At the same time, the descriptive analysis of the museum and the spatial storytelling experience were read.The historical mansion section of the Gaziantep Sahinbey National Struggle Museum, which constitutes one of the contemporary museums of the modern museum, and the descriptive and descriptive narratives that the cave exhibition grounds told the museum visitors showed how important the museums are in storytelling.
