In this study we worked with 14 womenand 46 men elderly people who live in Gaziantep Rest Home between 1-15 October 2004. Toobtain data we used interwieving form that contains socio-demographic variable, standardizedmini mental test for educated and not educated persons, brief disability quastionnare.Frequency and Chi-square analysis were used in SPSS packet programe to analysing the data.At the and of the study we found cognitive disorder %43,3 of them and disability%40,0 of elderly people. When we evaluated the cognitive functions and activities of dailylife we found statistical meaningfull association between cognitive functions and incontinanceseen statue, using telephone, food and dress shopping, preparing meal, doing housework,exchanging money and know and intake own medication(p<0,05). Also we found associationbetween some of the activities of daily living and gender and age.Key Words: Elderly, Cognitive Functions, Activities of Daily Life, Disability.
