Bir meşrulaştırma aracı olarak kitle iletişim teknolojileri: Kavramsal bir çözümleme

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, dünyayı küçülten iletişim teknolojilerinin bireysel vetoplumsal hayata etkilerini tartışmaktır. Teknoloji, hayatımızın her alanına her geçengün daha da büyük oranda girmekte ve bünyesinde hem avantajları hem dedezavantajları barındırmaktadır. Başka bir ifade ile, bu çalışmada hayatımızın heralanını etkileyen teknolojinin meşrulaştırma ve kontrol aracı olarak kullanımıirdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çağcıl toplumlar, kitle iletişim teknolojilerini birmeşrulaştırma ve kontrol mekanizması olarak kitleleri izlemek, eylemlerini kontroletmek, davranışlarına yön vermek ve onları manipüle etmek için kullanmaktadırlar.Çalışmada bu taktikler teorik olarak ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca, teknolojikgelişmeler ile birlikte ortaya çıkan toplumsal değişim ele alınarak yaşadığımızdünyanın değişen niteliği karşısında bireyin günlük hayatında yaşadığı çelişki vekarmaşıklıklar değerlendirilmektedir. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin bireyi eskiyeoranla daha özgür kıldığı iddia edilebilir. Öte yandan bu teknolojiler bazıdayatmalar kullanmak suretiyle bireyi köleleştirmektedir. Çalışmada, kitle iletişimteknolojilerinin egemenlik kurma, bu egemenliği meşrulaştırma ve propaganda aracıolarak kullanılma durumları araştırılmıştır. Modern insan teknolojiyi sınırlandırıpyönlendiremeyeceğinin farkındadır. Bu farkındalık sonucunda kendisini savunmasızgörür. Çıkış yolunu teknolojinin kendisine sunduğu avantajlardan edebildiğinceistifade etmekte bulmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın en önemli bulgusu, kitle iletişimaraçlarının belli güçler tarafından bireyleri izlemek, kontrol etmek, tutum vedavranışlarını belirleyip , yönlendirmek için kullanıldığıdır.

The purpose of this study was to discuss the effects of mass communicationtechnologies which make smaller the world increasingly. Technology, which entersinto our homes, firms and lives with some commitments, has some advantages andalso some disadvantages at the same time. In this study, technology, which affectsevery part of our lives, is accepted as an instrument used for legitimation and controlmechanism over the people. Powerful groups use the mass communicationtechnologies with the help of some tactics as a legitimation and control instrument tofollow the people, to control their activities, to determine their behavior and tomanipulate them. In this study, these tactics are pointed out theoretically. Culturalindustry globes and with the help of technology, it transforms the societies and iteliminates their culture. This elimination results cultural changes from diversity tomonotype. It is obvious that technology is used in politics and daily life. In the lasttwo decades, duration of propaganda turns into politic advertise. Ideologies andpoliticians are marketed like a meta in the circumstance of market. In this study,social change which comes into existence with technological development ismentioned. People have some contradiction and complexity related to varyingcharacteristics of the world. It is claimed that information and communicationtechnologies give more freedom to people than the past. On the contrary, thesetechnologies make person into a slave with some imposition. Communicationtechnologies are used for setting up hegemony over the mass.
