Kırsal kesimdeki sınıf öğretmenlerinin matematik öğretiminde karşılaştıkları sorunlar

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, kırsal kesimde görev yapan sınıf öğretmenlerininmatematik öğretiminde karşılaştıkları sorunları belirlemektir. Çalışmanın verileri,Eskişehir ilindeki Günyüzü, Sivrihisar, Mihalıçcık, Beylikova ve Han ilçelerininmerkezi dışındaki yerleşim yerlerinde görev yapan 142 sınıf öğretmeninden ?KırsalKesim Matematik Öğretimi Sorunları Ölçeği? yoluyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilenverilerin yüzde ve frekansları hesaplanmış, sınıf öğretmenlerinin mezun olduklarıbölümlere göre algıları arasında fark olup olmadığı t testi ile yoklanmıştır. Araştırmasonuçlarına göre, kırsal kesimde çalışan sınıf öğretmenlerinin; mesleki gelişimlerine,matematik müfredatına, fiziksel koşullara ve sınıfların öğrenme kültür ve ikliminietkileyen öğretmen-öğrenci-aile paydaşlarına yönelik karşılaştıkları sorunlarıntemelinde kırsal kesimdeki mevcut durumun ve kırsal gerçeğinin göz ardı edilmesibulunmaktadır.

The purpose of this study was to examine the problems about the mathematicseducation which were met by the primary school teachers who were working in therural areas. Data were collected from 142 primary school teachers who were workingin rural areas of Günyüzü, Sivrihisar, Mihalıçcık, Beylikova and Han in the city ofEskişehir. Frequences and percents were performed to test the hypotheses and thedifferences among the perceptions of primary school teachers according to theirgraduated departments were identified via t-test. According to the results of the study,the major reason of the problems about the mathematics instruction in the rural areaswas to ignore the present conditions of the rural communities.
