dc.description.abstractOne hospital from each of these two sectors is choosen. The capacity of the hospital and the property of containing all the specialization areas- were important in this selecti on. The selected hospitals were `The Education And Applica tion Hospital of Aegeon University` and `Atatürk State Hos pital of the Health Ministry` Nurses working in the -se hos pitals graduated from highschool or university - were selected by a multiple-staged method according to five cli nical areas. The number of nurses is 250 and this forms the 30 percent of the nurses working in these hospitals. The questionnaire involved these p-Qints*, the social- demographic properties, their working history, their deci sions about their job, their problems, and other questi ons about `the intention of leaving off work` The associotion between the dependent variable of this study the intention of leaving off work- and other 2 non - dependent variables is analysed by x significancy test. According to the results of this study, 63.2 % of the nurses decided to leave off work and 36.8 % of them didn't have this decision. The factors determining this decision are, working conditions, salary, stress, not being satisfied. Number of105 children, working period, the questions whether it's the first working place or not, and whether she chose this occupation voluntarily or not, are significant factors which have an association with the intention of leaving work. That is; tehere are individual and organizational factors affecting the intention of leaving off work. The high ratio of the intention of leaving off work also shows the affective reluctance, so it must be kept in mind that this result may affect the service negati vely and may cause unsatisfaetion in occupation. Thus, it's important to control negative factors by reasonable stra tegies and to supply more satisfactory conditions. It is also important to change the decision about leaving off work.en_US
