T Success of implant therapy requires the implant site to be of the best location for functional and esthetic purposes.Diagnostic imaging, especially panoramic radiography and computerized tomography have been recommended forthe ideal placement of implant fixtures. in this research bone heights of the implant sites, as well as densities have been evaluated using computedtomography and panoramic radiography. According to our findings measurements of bone density were in correlation with each other but, bone heights with two distinct radiologic methods were statistically different.Since the difference is less than 1 mm, this is not considered as clinically signifigant. The measurements of bone height as well as bone density is found to be reliable on panoramic radiographs.Since the method we used is practical, economic, easy to perform and reliable it may be recommended for the evaluation of dental implant patient.
