Edebiyat ve müze: bir roman ve müze olarak masumiyet müzesi

Abstract

Masumiyet Müzesi, sadece Orhan Pamuk'un yayımlanan son romanının adı değil, bu romanla yakında açılacağı duyurulan bir müzenin de adıdır. Masumiyet Müzesi romanının, içinde barındırdığı müze kurma fikri ve yazarı tarafından İstanbul'da gerçek bir müze mekânına dönüştürülecek olması, bu çalışmanın hareket noktası olmuştur. Romanın kurmaca bir dünyayı gerçekliğe taşıma iddiası, edebiyat ve müzecilik disiplinlerini yan yana getirdiğinden bir karşılaştırmalı edebiyat çalışması için uygun görülmüştür. Edebiyat ve müzeyi bazı ortak bileşenler üzerinden incelemek adına bellek, mekân, zaman ve nesneler olmak üzere dört temel izlek belirlenmiştir. Bu izlekler doğrultusunda Orhan Pamuk'un Masumiyet Müzesi adlı yapıtı hem bir roman hem de bir müze olarak incelenmiştir.Edebiyat ve Müze: Bir Roman ve Müze Olarak Masumiyet Müzesi adlı bu çalışmada amaç, bir edebî metni ve metnin gerçekliğe dönüşeceği mekân olan müzeyi, metnin bize sunduğu ipuçları ışığında ve belirlenen ortak noktalar doğrultusunda yorumlamak, farklı bir okuma önerisi sunmaktır.

The Museum of Innocence is not only the name of the last published book of Orhan Pamuk: it also is the name of an actual museum which is to be opened soon. The starting point of this study was the author's idea of building a museum, as was mentioned in the novel The Museum of Innocence, and converting it into a genuine space in Istanbul. Since the argument of transforming the fictive world into reality made the disciplines of literature and museology work side by side, the subject has been considered convenient for a comparative literature study. Four main topics, memory, space, time and objects have been chosen in order to analyse them as components in literature and in the museum. By following this methodology, Orhan Pamuk?s novel The Museum of Innocence has been studied both as a fictive novel and as a museum space. Thus, the aim of this study, `Literature and Museum: The Museum of Innocence as a Novel and a Museum,` is to propose a different reading by using the hints directly given by the text.
