dc.description.abstract | The aim of this thesis 1S to show the feasibilitv ofdeveloping a low cost system for 3D imaging of internal organsUS1na an IBM PC. The developed software package can disolav256 x 256 CT/NMR slice data in a 3-D form. User interactionis assured bv a menu driven svstem.The svstem is meantto be used off-line since image generation is slow. Data froma SOMATOM DR-H CT Scanner have been used in generating samole3-D images.The modular structure of this Dackage allows furtherexoansion.The hardware used in this oroject 1S an IBM PC and agraohics card which drives a TV monitor with 256 grav levels. | en_US |
