dc.description.abstractAn intraoperative cardiac mapping system is designed forguidance in arrhythmia surgery. An instrumentation unit(amplification, isolation and filtering) is designed and combinedwith a computer based data acquisition system to obtainelectrophysiologic data from epicardium.The system is capable of recording data from fourteenbipolar pairs of band electrodes and two bipolar pairs of surfaceelectrodes. Real time monitoring for up to eight channels is alsopossible.The software is designed to allow user to examine data assoon as acquired, in compressed or normal forms, with aoility toselect different channels to be displayed in one screen. Thesoftware is user friendly and can be manipulated with mouse, noexperience or programming skill is necessary.en_US
