Profitability analysis of the 47 industrial firms under inflationary conditions

Abstract

ÖZET Bu calışmaa yapıdeğişikliği sürecinde özel Türk firmalarının karlılıklarındaki enflasyonun etkisini incelemektedir. Enflasyona göre düzeltilmiş mali oran analizleri için 9 endüstriden 47 özel firmanın İ981 ve 1994 yılları arasındaki mali tabloları düzeltilmiştir- Genel ve çalışma karliliklari, ez sermayeye dortus ve mali masraflarla ilgili oranlar incelenmiş vs karlılık ile ssasraf marj i arasindaki ilişki ssn&liz edilmiştir» Cari fiyatlardaki rrsali er ani ar i İs reel fiyatlardaki mali oranlar karsilastirilsrdstir,

ABSTRACT This study aria J yzos the effects of inflation on the prof i tabi 1 i ties of -firms in restructuring period of Turkey» Financial statements of 47 private -firms frofrs 9 industries -for the years İ98İ-S4 were adjusted to get the adjusted -financial statements -for the financial ratio analysis. Overall and operating profitabilities, return on equity and some ratios related with -fin^nci si costs were studied and the relation between profitability and interest expense margin analysed. Financial ratios of the firms in current prices were compared with those in real prices.
