The Representative responsibilty of the male child and its manifestation in homicidal events

Abstract

ÖZET Bu çalışma, kırsal alanda, erkek çocuğun erkeklik kavramı ile cinayet olayları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek tedir. Erkeklik ve şeref-namus arasındaki ilişki irdelenmiş ve bunun erkek çocuğun temsil edici sorumluluğu ile ilişkisi araştırılmıştır. Erkek çocuğun, ailenin sahip olduğu mülk ve namus konusundaki koruyucu ve yardımcı rolü araştırılarak, davranışlarının kendi prestiji üzerindeki etkilerine ışık tutacak hipotezler geliştirilmiştir.

ABSTRACT In this study, the small-scale community's male child's conception of manhood when considering homicide as inevitable for cleaning his name has been analysed. The codes of manhood or honour have been put to light, as well as the reasons why the male child is bound to assume the representative responsibility attached to his deeds. The male child's role of helper and protector of the possessions and honour of the family has been set forth.
