Abstract

ÖZET TANZİMAT'IN UYGULANMASINA BÎR TEPKİ: BEDİRHAN BEY İSYANI Mehmet Alagöz Bu tez, genel olarak on altıncı yüzyılda Osmanlı Devleti sınırlarına dahil edilirken otonom bir statü verilen Kürt beyliHerinin on dokuzuncu yüzyılda devletin II Mahmut'la başlayan merkezileşme çabaları sonucunda bu beyliklerin ortadan kaldırılmasını konu almaktadır. Özel olarak da son Kürt beyliği olan ve Bedirhan Bey tarafından yönetilen Cizre ve Bohtan Beyliği'nin Tanzimat'ın bölgede uygulanması çerçevesinde varlığına son verilmesini anlatmaktadır. / Sonuç olarak, tartışmalı bir kişiliğe sahip olan Bedirhan Bey'in isyan etme nedenin Tanzimat'ın uygulanması olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bedirhan Bey'in idare ettiği Diyarbekir eyaleti dahilinde bulunan Cizre ve Bohtan emirliğinin, Musul valisi Mehmet Paşa'nın devamlı ısrarları üzerine buradan alınarak Musul eyaletine bağlanması ve Bedirhan Bey'in de Musul valisine olan güvensizliğinden dolayı Bedirhan Bey'in isyan ettiği görülmüştür.

ABSTRACT Old Habits Die Hard, A Reaction to the Application of Tanzimat: Bedirhan Bey's Revolt by Mehmet Alagöz Broadly speaking, this thesis is about how the Kurdish emirates which were incorporated into the Ottoman State in the sixteenth century and given an autonomous status after the incorporation were eliminated within the context of the centralization efforts of the state which began in the nineteenth century with Mahmut II. Specifically, the thesis studies tiie last Kurdish emirate, the Cizre and Bohtan emirate which was ruled by Bedirhan Bey, and which was subjugated by the Ottoman state within the application of Tanzimat in the region. It has been explained that Cizre was connected to the province of Musul as a part of application of Tanzimat in tiie region and upon the continuous insistence of the governor of Musul, Mehmet Paşa. The thesis showed that Bedirhan Bey, who has a much debated personality revolted to the central authority due to the transference of Cizre and Bohtan emirate from the province of Diyarbekir to the province of Musul and his lack of confidence to Mehmet Paşa.
