Edebiyat eserlerinin coğrafya öğretiminde kullanılması üzerine bir inceleme: Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk şiirindeki coğrafi öğeler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, coğrafya edebiyat arasındaki yakın ilişkiden hareketle coğrafya öğretiminde edebiyat eserlerinin kullanılabileceği fikri, Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk Şiiri örneği üzerinden ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, önce Coğrafya ile Edebiyat arasındaki ilişki, geçmişten bugüne dek değişen anlayışlar çerçevesinde incelenmiş, bu ilişkiden her iki bilimin de faydalanması gerektiğini ortaya koyan fikirler gözden geçirilmiştir. Devamında, edebiyat eserlerinden Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk Şiiri çalışmanın merkezine konularak, Türk Şiirinde kullanılan coğrafi unsurlar ortaya konulmuştur. Bu şiirlerin seçimi sırasında, herhangi bir dönem ya da edebi akım farkı gözetmeden, coğrafi öğeleri sıklıkla kullanan şairlerin şiirleri seçilmiştir. Son bölümde, Türkiye'deki Coğrafya Öğretimine, coğrafya öğretimde kullanılan yöntem ve tekniklere genel bir bakış yaptıktan sonra, yeni coğrafya müfredatındaki konu, kazanım ve değerler incelenerek bunlar, bağlantılı olduğu düşünülen şiirlerle ilişkilendirilmiştir. Son olarak ise çalışmanın uygulanabilirliğini ortaya koyması açısından Coğrafya Öğretiminde kullanılabilecek örnek şiirler, örnek ders planları içerisinde kullanılarak çalışma tamamlanmıştır.

In this study, the idea that literary works can be used in geography teaching -due to the close relationship between geography and literature- is tried to be executed through the examples of Turkish Poetry in the Republican Period. In this context, the relation between Geography and Literature was examined within the framework of the understanding that has changed from past to present, and the ideas that reveal that both sciences should benefit from this relationship are reviewed. Afterward, Turkish poetry in the Republican Period was put at the center of the study, and then the geographical elements used in Turkish Poetry were put forward. During the selection of these poems, poems of poets who were using geographic details frequently were chosen without any period or literary movements' difference. In the last chapter, the Geography Education in Turkey, after making an overview of the methods and techniques used in geography teaching, issues in the new geography curriculum, achievements and values are examined, they were associated with considered poetry to be linked. Finally, in order to demonstrate the applicability of the study, the sample poems that can be used in Geography Teaching are completed by using the sample lesson plans.
