dc.description.abstract | iiiÖZETBu çalismada; gümüsün PVF ile modifiye edilmis camsi karbon elektrotda gümüsünbiriktirilmesi ve oksijenin elektrokimyasal indirgenme reaksiyonu incelenmistir.Çalismanin ilk bölümünde gümüs nitrat bilesiginin kaplanmamis elektrotdaki vemodifiye elektrotlardaki davranisi incelenerek modifiye yüzeyin, bu bilesiginelektrokimyasal davranisina bir etkisi olup olmadigi arastirilmistir. Bu modifiyeyüzeylerde bulunan PVF merkezlerinin, gümüs iyonlarinin kimyasal olarakindirgenmesinde aracilik ettigi bulunmustur.Çalismanin ikinci bölümünde ise kaplanmamis camsi karbon (GC), PVF kaplanmis(PVF-GC) ve PVF kapli gümüs biriktirilmis camsi karbon (PVF-Ag-GC)elektrotlarda oksijenin indirgenmesi çalisilmistir. Bu elektrotlarin elektrokimyasaldavranisi fakli destek elektrolitlerde ve pH' larda incelenmistir. Oksijeninindirgenme potansiyeli artan pH la daha pozitif potansiyellere kaymistir. Camsikarbon elektrotda -0,85 V tek indirgenme piki, modifiye elektrotlarda ise -0,55 V ve-0,80 V' da iki indirgenme piki gözlenmistir. dc.description.abstract | ivABSTRACTIn this work, determination of silver and reduction of oxygen was investigated byusing poly(vinylferrocene) (PVF) modified glassy carbon electrodes.In the first part of the study, the electrochemical behavior of silver nitrate in theuncoated electrode was studied and it was researched that whether the modifiedsurface had an effect on the electrochemical behavior of this compound. It was foundthat the PVF centers on these modified surfaces mediate in the reduction of the silverions chemically.In the second part of the study, the electroreduction of oxygen has been studied onbare glassy carbon (GC), polyvinylferrocene coated GC (PVF-GC) andpolyvinylferrocene coated silver deposited GC (PVF-Ag-GC) electrodes. Theelectrochemical behavior of these electrodes was examined at different electrolytesand pHs. The reduction potential of oxygen shifted to more positive potentials withincreasing pH. Two reduction peaks were observed at -0,55 V and -0,80 V vs. SCEon modified electrodes but one reduction peak was observed at -0,85 V on bare GCelectrode. The former peak was assigned to the two electron reduction of O2 to H2 O2,while the latter was the reduction of H2 O2 to H2 O on modified electrodes.Key Words: Modified electrodes, reduction of oxygen, poly(vinylferrocene), silverdeposition. | en_US |
