N ANALYSIS OF BURDUR REGION HONEYSDeniz TASKINHoney samples were taken from 20 different localities around Burdur and its provinces in2004-2005 and pollen analysis performed on these samples. Following the microscopicalanalysis, 58 taxa belonging to 33 different families were detected.Centaurea spp.,Compositae, Rosaceae, Pimpinella anisum and Anthriscus spp. were the most representedtaxas. In samples, dominant polen types were Apiaceae, Pimpinella anisum, Anthriscus spp.,Cardamine sp., Compositae, Centaurea spp., Ericaceae and Dianthus sp. In the samples, under study, Brassicaceae, Fabaceae, Crepis sp., Xeranthemum sp. and Trifolium sp. weredetermined as secondary taxa.Among the 20 honey samples, only one sample taken from Burdur was determined asunifloral because of having only dominant and trace polen. The others were determined asmultifloral honeys.KEYWORDS : Honey, Pollen analysis in honey, Nectar, Burduren_US
