Adile Sultan Divanı (inceleme-transkripsiyonlu metin)

Abstract

ABSTRACT Âdile Sultan was a daughter of Mahmut II. was the 30th Ottoman Sultan. Âdile Sultan who was brought up in Ottoman palace in 19th century wrote a Divân (a collected poems) known as `Âdile Sultan Divânı` in Turkish literature. The poems are generally related on the Islamic religious and mystical subjects. Her poems were not accepted successfully in Ottoman classical literature. But her poems might be examined in the aspects of Islamic and mystical works. In this study, her Divân was examined in this concept On the other hand some of her poems explains the recent Ottoman history, because the poems are related to her relatives. The Divan's transcription which is attached to this study is based on the copy of Istanbul University and it was examined in the aspect of form and language. The contents of the poems explain that we might realise her Divân in the aspect of Religious - Mystical Turkish Literature.
