| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT EFFICIENCY IMPROVEMENT OF DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS USING DBMS ABU-SUOD, Saleh M.S. in Computer Engineering Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ziya AKÎAS January.1988, 425 pages In this thesis, a thorough survey of Decision Support Systems (DSS) together with some concepts of information systems relevant to Decision Making are given. In the thesis the importance of Data Base systems to improve the efficiency of DSS is also discussed. At the end of the study, a Decision 4 Support System named DSSSS or DS is designed, and applied on students system of the Department of Computer Engineering of METU.
