dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this current study was to investigate the perfectives and assessments of the science and technology teachers on the implementation of sixth grade science and technology program of the year 2005, called reform-based science and technology program. There were a total of seventy five science and technology teachers involved in this study that took place in Afyonkarahisar. The researcher employed a liker-type questionnaire consisting of 46 items. This was developed to figure out the views and assessments of the participants about the new 6th grade science and technology program. In the analysis of the quantitative data, descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA with were used.After the analysis of the data, the study showed that the veriables, gender, teaching experience and place were not on effective factors on the views and assessments of the teachers regarting the implementation of the new programs . Furthermore, the participants stated that the allotted time was not enough for the implementation of the activities, and that they did not get adequate information about the implementation of the new program. They also claimed that the new program was not flexible for different situations and different groups of students.
