II. Meşrutiyet dönemi bilimsel dergilerinden `Fen` mecmuasının analizi

Abstract

II. Meşrutiyet dönemi bilimsel nitelikli `Fen` adlı derginin transkripsiyonu bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Dergi içerik olarak matematiksel işleme dayalı sorular ve çözümlerden ve bilimsel makalelerden oluşmaktadır.`Fen` dergisi adından da anlaşılacağı üzere i'dâdî ve rüşdiyye seviyesindeki öğrencilerin fen derslerine yönelik çıkarılmış bilimsel içerikli bir dergidir. 21 Mart 1911 - 16 Haziran 1911 arasında 13 sayı olarak basılan bu dergi ile aritmetik (hisâb), geometri (hendese), cebir (cebr), üçgenler (müsellesât) ve fizik (hikmet) derslerine yönelik soru ve cevaplar ile öğrencilere yardımcı olmak hedeflenmiştir. Okura ödüllü sorular yöneltmenin yanı sıra bilimsel makaleler ile fen bilimleri teşvik edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada bu dergiyi kaynak olarak kullanmak isteyen araştırmacılara derginin transkripsiyonu sunulmaktadır. Ayrıca bu çalışmada rüşdiyye ve i'dâdîler için hazırlanmış olan soruların da transkripsiyonu yapılarak dönemin orta öğretim seviyesindeki aritmetik (hisâb), geometri (hendese), cebir (cebr), üçgenler (müsellesât) ve fizik (hikmet) dersleri hakkında önemli veriler sunulacaktır.`Fen` dergisi incelenirken verilerin toplanmasında doküman incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır ve tüm sayıları eksiksiz olarak günümüz Türkçesine çevrilmiştir. Bu derginin tüm sayıları belli başlı süreli yayın koleksiyonları (İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesinin yayın kataloğu, Hakkı Tarık Us, Milli kütüphane …) incelenerek eksiksiz ve net bir şekilde temin edilmiştir.

The transcription of the `Fen` journal, which is a scientific journal published during the Constitutional Period II. in the Ottoman History, constitutes the main theme of this thesis. The journal contains questions based on mathematical operations and their solutions and scientific articles. `Fen` journal, as its name suggests, was a scientific journal published to help students in their science classes at junior high school and high school levels. This journal which was published in 13 issues between on 21 March, 1911 and on 16 June, 1911, aimed to help students through questions and their answers in arithmetics (hisâb), geometry (hendese), algebra (cebr), triangles (müsellesât) and physics (hikmet) classes. Besides asking questions with awards, the journal aimed to support sciences through scientific articles. This research provides the researchers who want to use this journal as a resource with the transcription of the journal. Besides, this research also presents significant data about the arithmetic (hisâb), geometry (hendese), algebra (cebr), triangles (müsellesât) and physics (hikmet) lessons at high school level of the age through the transcription of questions prepared for junior high schools and high schools.In the analysis of `Fen` journal the document analysis method was employed in data collection and all issues of the journal have been translated into modern-day Turkish. The writer had access to all the issues of this journal by searching the prominent periodical collections (Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Publication Catalogue, Hakkı Tarık Us Private Collection, National Library etc.).
