Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin mesleki tükenmişlik düzeylerinin incelenmesi (Tokat ili örneği)

Abstract

Günümüzde en önemli ve en zor mesleklerden olan öğretmenlikte mesleki tükenmişliğin her geçen gün arttığı görülmektedir. Bu tükenmişlik boyutunun beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinde daha fazla olduğu görülmektedir. Bu bilgiler ışığında, bu çalışmanın amacı, Tokat ilinde çalışan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin mesleki tükenmişlik düzeylerinin incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu ise 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında Tokat il merkezi ve ilçelerinde MEB'e bağlı devlet okullarında çalışan kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 115 beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin tükenmişliğini incelemek için Maslach ve Jackson (1981) aracılığıyla geliştirilen Maslach Tükenmişlik Envanteri (MTE) uygulanmıştır. Ölçek Ergin (1992) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin genel bilgilerini almak için araştırmacının hazırladığı kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır.Verilerin değerlendirilmesi esnasında SPSS 20.0 paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Anket uygulanan öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerinin dağılımlarının tespiti için yüzde yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarının normal dağılımda olup olmadıklarını belirlemek için ile Skewness - Kurtosis testi uygulanmış ve sonuç olarak Maslach Tükenmişlik Envanteri Eğitimci ölçeğinin bütün alt boyutların normal dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlara göre α = 0.05 anlamlılık düzeyinde 2 değişkenli bulgularda T-testi, 2'nin üzerindeki değişkenlerde Anova testi yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin büyük bir kısmının erkek öğretmenlerden oluştuğu görülmektedir. Eğitim ve medeni durum olarak sırasıyla kişisel başarı ve duyarsızlaşma alt boyutlarda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Cinsiyet ve yaş değişkenleri bakımından ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilememiştir (p>0.05).Sonuç olarak; Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin genel olarak birçoğunun yaptıkları meslekten memnun oldukları belirlenmiştir. Çoğunlukla il merkezinde görev yapan kalıtımcıların, okul dağılımları ortaokul ve lise olarak sınıflandırılabilir. Çalışmaya katılan beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin spor derslerinin yeterliliği konusunda büyük çoğunluk yeterli görmemektedir. Beden eğitimi ve spor dersinin işlenmesinde ve verimli geçmesinde çok önemli rolü olan araç-gereç temini açısından öğretmenlerin büyük çoğunluğu ellerindeki imkânların yetersiz olduğunu düşünmektedir. Today, occupational burnout increases in the teaching profession which is one of the most important and difficult occupations. It is seen that this burnout dimension is more common in physical education teachers than others. In the light of this information, the purpose of this study is to investigate the occupational burnout levels of physical education teachers working in Tokat province. The sample group of the study consists of 115 physical education and sports teachers who were selected by the easy sampling method in the public schools of MEB in Tokat city center and districts in 2018-2019 academic year.Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) was used to evaluate burnout levels of physical education teachers. The personal information form prepared by the researcher was used to get the general information of the teachers. SPSS 20.0 package program was used during data evaluation. Percentage methods were used to determine the distribution of the personal information of the participants. Skewness - Kurtosis test was used to test whether the sub-dimensions of the scale showed normal distribution and all sub-dimensions of the Maslach Burnout Inventory scale were found to have normal distribution (p <0.05). According to this, T-test was used for 2-variable data at α = 0.05 significance level and Anova test was used for more than 2 variables.As a result; It was determined that most of the physical education and sports teachers were satisfied with their profession. School distributions of teachers working mostly in the city center can be classified as secondary and high school. The majority of the physical education and sports teachers who participated in the study do not see the adequacy of the sports lessons time. The majority of the teachers think that the opportunities they have are insufficient in terms of the supply of equipment which has a very important role in processing and quality of the physical education and sports lesson.Keywords: Physical education, burnout, emotional exhaustion
