dc.description.abstractThe participation of space into painting has started by Renaissance and by the Baroque age it has reached an understanding of illusion with dept on a twodimensioned canvas.The surface of the canvas perceived to be the exact place for the illusion of reality until the beginning of the 20 th century. Through the end of the age, the surface of the canvas included into the painting itself. Nowadays, the surface of the canvas can consider a direct starting point of the artist. The abolishment of the conventional norms put forward new ideas of space by the free use of shapes other than the customary understandings. Futhermore, the technological developments influences the current art and the artists start to use the technological materials. Thus ; imagination has become more important. The concept of art has changed shape oppressing painting and sculpture. By 1960's, the function of art has changed from being a classical viewing of traditional materials to a participation of the spectator, himself. Even the work of art became a common work of the artist and the spectator. The place for the exhibition of the art work effects the approach of the spactator. Since the art works are developing in the sense of examination, feeling and the comprehension in our age, the space can create a whole between the spaceand the work.
