dc.description.abstractXIII Part III In this part, the socio economic situation of the pilot area villages and the houses they live in and related proposals are determined. Method of `questionaire` was used to obtain the information. As a result of the questionaires procticed on the different families living in Kalkancı and Teknecik villages two reality have appeared; Firsth, related to the economic situation of the villagers and second the insufficient physical environmental conditions. Villagers are not satisfied with their situation What's more, the `large family` idea mostly common in the rural areas of Turkey is valid here too. Part IV The information related to the construction technique and construction equipments are detailed in this part. When the area is regarded as a seismic zone, these informations show that the houses are not absolutely built in of form they should be. The houses built with traditional stacking up technique, are criticized from different points to currect them as infrastructure and uppers tructure by dividing them into two groups. Part V At the last part of the study which is a synthese part a working scheme is formed for the improvement of the village houses in planned and structural ways in the light of the informations obtained from the previous parts of the study. Under the principles of the named scheme, surveys mostly were made on the factors affecting the planning of the villages in the pilot area. At the end of the studies, the functional scheme of the idealized pilot village house is also formed. Then, consideration of the factors effecting the structural improvement and foundation of solutions. relating to the villagers architectural problems are emhasized. In this part, also water color copies of 15 different houses in the pilot area are presented.XIV The planned and structural improvement of the village houses are emphasized till the end of Part V. The general determination at Part V indicate that the first eguipment for improvement of the village houses in planning and structural ways is the information transfer, This is proved by the researchers not being very expensive also desired by the villagers.
