Dr. Nurcan KURTOĞLU Bu çalışmada iki yeni azo boyar maddesi l-[4-(18-ldoro-l,4,7,10,13,16-hekzaoksa oktadesil)fenilazo]-2-hidroksi naftalin ve l-[4-(21-hidroksi-l,4,7,10,13,16,19-hepta oksahenizosenil)fenilazo]-2-hidroksi naftalin ligandlannın Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), VO(IV) ve Zn(II) kopmleksleri sentezlenmiştir. Ligand ve komplekslerin yapılan elementel analiz, elektronik absorpsiyon, infrared, !H ve 13C-NMR ve AAS teknikleri ile tanımlanarak karakterize edilmiştir. Spektroskopik veriler non-iyonik grup içeren bu azo ligandlannın çözeltide hidroksi-azo veya kinon-hidrazon tautomeri formunda olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Analitiksel veriler komplekslerin oluşum stokyometrisini 1:2 olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Bütün kompleksler kare-piramit, kare-düzlem veya tetrahedral çevrededirler. Doç. Dr. Mehmet TÜMER Yrd. Doç. Dr. Nurcan KURTO?LU In the present study, two new azo-dye compounds, l-[4-(18-chloro-l,4,7,10,13,16- hekzaoxaoktadesyI)phenyl azo]-2-hydroxy naphthalene and l-[4-(21-hydroxy- 1,4,7,10,13,16,19 heptaoxahenizosenyl)phenylazo]-2-hydroxy and their Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(U), VO(IV) and Zn(JJ) complexes were synthesized. The ligands and complexes have been identified and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared, Uv-visible, XH and 13C NMR, AAS as well as. The spectroscopic data have established that these azo ligands containing non-ionic group can exist in solution as hydroxy-azo or as quinone-hydrozone tautomers. The property of azo-hydrazone tautomer is closely related is structure to its colour and resistance to fading. The analiytical data depict the formation of complex compounds with the stochiometry 1:2. All the complexes are in square-pyramidal, square planar or tetrahedral environments.
