İznik Gölü çevresindeki yerleşimlerin incelenmesi ve Yeni Sölöz geleneksel yerleşim dokusunun korunması üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Sonuç olarak, ülkemiz açısından koruma soruman doğrultusunda; Yeni Sölöz geleneksel yerleşim dokusunun korunması için yasal-örgütsel, kültürel- eğitimsel ve sosyo-ekonomik açıdan öneriler getirilmiştir. Bu öneriler doğrultusunda kent ölçeğinde ve yapı ölçeğinde çözümler ortaya konulmuştur.

The aim of thesis is the examination of the settlement areas around the İznik Lake, especially a detailed analysis of Yeni Sölöz Municipality in Orhangazi Province of Bursa and putting forward theoretical and applicable suggestions for the conservation of Yeni Sölöz. Suggestions about conservation can be applied in Yeni Sölöz and other settlement areas around the İznik Lake with similar architectural characteristics. The thesis consists of five sections: In Section I, the physical and historical features of the Iznik Lake district have been examined and historic, social, economic and demographic structure of the district where traditional housing architecture is settled. In section II, architectural values that should be taken under conservation in the neighbourhood of the Iznik Lake, have been examined; and the physical and social factors that make up local housing architecture in the district and should be protected, have been described. The features of the traditional houses and the settlement areas around the İznik Lake and their place in the Anatolian housing architecture have been put forward. In section HI, the structure of the settlement and housing architecture of Yeni Sölöz have been analysed in detail. First, the geographical features and historical development of the settlement have been examined. The physical features of the traditional settlement structure of Yeni Sölöz have been evaluated in two main groups; in urban planning and building scales and the results of the analysis have been put forward. The building types that make up Yeni Sölöz settlement structure have been examined. An analysis of traditional housing architecture has been made in the aspect of landscape plan, facade, construction system and building material properties. In Section IV, the conservation concerns of Yeni Sölöz local housing architecture have been handled in two parts, as the reasons and types of decay in houses. The vi vireasons of decay have been classified as reasons related to human, natural reasons and social reasons. The types of decay that occurred due to as a result of these reasons have been handled in four groups: environmental, functional, economic and physical decay. Physical decay that occurred in plan, facade and construction system has been analysed. In section V, as a result, legal-organizational, cultural-educational and socio economic suggestions for the conservation of Yeni Sölöz traditional settlement area have been put forward in accordance with the conservation concerns with in our country. Due to these suggestions, solutions in urban and building scale have been found.
